Part 1 - Neville James checks in with Ken Mills on the workings of St. John’s Gifft Hill School. As Head of School, Mr. Mill speaks towards Gifft Hill’s mission statement of providing academic rigor through experiential learning within a compassionate community, how the school has weathered the challenges of COVID-19, their place in the St. Thomas-St. John community and his hopes for the future. Professor Joanne Luciano of UVI’s Data Science division joins the conversation as it shifts to the state of violent crime in the territory and the ways in which we can ameliorate this issue from an educational standpoint.
