Part 2 - Celebrating 65 years of academic success, Principal Wendy Gonzales, provides information on Claude O. Markoe Elementary School's 65th Sapphire Anniversary Sneaker Gala. Gonzales recounts the history of the school and Claude O. Markeo for which the school is named. The event will take place, Saturday, May 20, with a reception and auction of donated sneakers. Notably, auction item contributors include retired basketball players and St. Croix native, Tim Duncan who donated a personal pair of autographed size 16 sneakers.

Recently, "Fly the Whale" a commuter airline, agreed to provide inter-island flight services between St. Croix and St. Thomas.
