Part 2 - Due to the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act that was passed by Congress in December, the U.S. Virgin Islands will be required to phase out the additional Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits households have been receiving since March of 2020. Commissioner Kimberly-Causey Gomez returns to Analyze This with Public Information Officer Toby Derima to discuss this unwinding of the public health emergency funding, child care, and the general workings of the VI Department of Human Services.
