Monday, July 1, 2024 - Part 1

Part 1 - Neville James speaks with Manuel Ramos, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in San Juan, Puerto Rico, regarding the passage of Hurricane Beryl, a category-4 hurricane with sustained winds of 130 miles, and the risks of a hurricane of this magnitude early in the hurricane season, with Barbados and the Grenadines taking a direct hit. On Tuesday, the system should pass approximately 230 miles south of Saint Croix.

Part 2 - Neville James talks with Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation Commissioner Calvert White about the preparations for the Independence Day Races, which will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Clinton E. Phipps Sr. Racetrack on Saint Thomas. The first of seven races on Sunday kicks off at 1 p.m.

Part 1 - Lisa Richards, Aliyah Joseph, and Takera Richardson join Neville James to discuss their work and the impact they intend to create through the "Own a Lot, Build a Home" Program. The "Own a Lot, Build a Home" Program is a territorial lending effort created for first-time homeowners. It offers five (5) year, zero percent (0%) forgiving mortgages for the building of a new single-family dwelling.

Part 2 - Neville James is joined by Attorney Dwayne Henry to speak about President Biden and former President Donald Trump, who will square off in the first presidential debate of the 2024 general election tonight in Atlanta. It starts a new phase of the presidential race. Less than five months out from Nov. 5, Election Day, as the matchup remains extremely tight. Biden and Trump stand virtually tied.

Thursday, June 27, 2024 - Part 1

Part 1 - Neville James interviews National Weather Service lead meteorologist Carlos Anselmi for an update on Tropical Storm 95L "Beryl". Neville informs the community of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources' Final Round of Land and Water Use Plan Town Meetings. The final town hall meeting will take place this evening, Thursday, June 27, in the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall on St. Croix. Scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, June 26, 2024 - Part 2

Part 2 - Neville James congratulates former Virgin Islands Tourism Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty, who received the Secretary-General's Distinguished Service Award at the Caribbean Tourism Organization Women's Leadership Awards. Ms. Nicholson-Doty was one of numerous women in the industry who received achievement awards at Caribbean Week in New York. The prizes were given out at the "Caribbean Queens: Saluting Women Shaping the Future of Caribbean Tourism" breakfast and awards ceremony.

Part 1 - Neville James interviews Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency Director Daryl Jaschen and Ms. J'lisa Martinez, Acting Public Information Officer, as they remind the community on hurricane preparedness. They outline the role of government and federal partners in readiness, as well as shelter planning and the Curfew Pass application process.
